EdReady Responsibilities for LEA Admins
In order to support the implementation of the CCRG initiative in EdReady, each Local Education Agency (LEA) will need to assign a Lead Administrator to support the project.
Note: this administrator may assign additional administrators to help with the workload and support, but NROC will need one primary point of contact for each LEA.
Platform Setup
Prior to the start of each semester, the Lead Administrator for the LEA will need to:
- Ensure the platform has the appropriate categories in place to correctly identify your students and staff
- Values needed will include sections for math and English
- Items can easily be entered into the online interface
- Manage accounts for math and English instructors
- Account creation to be handled via single sign-on but once users have accessed EdReady via NCEdCloud, their account can be updated.
- If you do not see one of your School Administrator or Teachers in the system, ensure they have clicked the CCRG icon in NCEdCloud so that their account will be created.
- Ensure that instructor accounts have the appropriate categories assigned to give each instructor access to see the appropriate students
- School should automatically be assigned via the NCEdCloud connection: if a user does not have a school assigned
- Class assignments (for math or English) will need to be manually assigned
- Account creation to be handled via single sign-on but once users have accessed EdReady via NCEdCloud, their account can be updated.
Communication and Training
- The Lead Administrator will serve as their local CCRG and EdReady expert.
They will then be responsible for ensuring that staff at the schools in their area are trained and ready to support CCRG.
Resources will be provided to aid in this local training effort (including a series of teacher-facing webinars the week of August 22), but the Lead Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the schools in their area have the details they need to support their students.
Support for End-Users
The Lead Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that end-users have access to Level 1 support^ and know how to get help. They will have access to documentation outlining common issues and solutions with EdReady.
^Level 1 Support handles basic account service (including password/ access issues), FAQ management, as well as problem source identification assistance, basic problem analysis, and problem
resolution where possible. If Level 1 personnel cannot resolve the issue, they will pass the
user along to Level 2 support at NROC.
